UX and UI design: wireframes, layout, prototyping, brand overhaul, design system creation
This multi-national fleet management company sought to give a clear picture to drivers and their managers of overall driver performance while also adding additional value.
This enthusiastic client within the company had a successful telematics product that lacked clear benchmarks or performance metrics.
I sought out a clear framing of the problem while performing competitive research and creating a couple journey maps to gain consensus with the team and clarify the direction moving forward.
Low-fidelity wireframes were presented, while I concurrently evoled the parent company's visual brand. With two different customer types — drivers and managers — a holistic solution was developed that could be split off into two experiences; a native app and web solution for drivers, and a web-based dashboard solution for managers. This set up to give clear insight and educational steps to both audiences, with more in-depth filters, rankings, and warnings for the managers.
The development team was brought on board from the earliest meetings to ensure clarity and a cohesive solution that was capable of being built within their parameters, and an open line of communincation was kept along the way for any interpretation or trouble shooting along the way.
In parallel, I completed the parent company's brand overhaul with a refined color palette and a set of initial resuable components to use throughout their various customer and internal facing products. This particular product overhaul became the initial project where these new standards were completely vetted and applied.
